A video of a 103-year-old man from the USA skydiving has gone viral and for all the right reasons.

Alfred Al Blaschke recently jumped from a plane flying at a height of 14,000 feet in order to celebrate his twin grandson’s graduation. In the process, Alfred also made a Guinness World Record for being the oldest tandem parachute jump (male) at the age of 103 years and 181 days.

The two-minute-long video shows Alfred getting ready and wearing the harness before the jump. He then sits inside the plane which takes off. After reaching the desired height, Alfred and his instructor jump from the plane.

The extremely brave fall was recorded. Alfred jumped with a certified Skydive Spaceland tandem jump instructor, Don Cameron who took care of the parachute and ensured the safe landing of Alfred.

The Special Reason

Alfred had promised that he would jump from a plane when his twin grandsons would graduate from college. He kept his promise and celebrated in style along with his family who also jumped with him.

In 2017, Alfred did his first skydive when he turned 100 years old. That is when he promised himself that he would come back when his grandsons will graduate and he kept his promise.

This is truly inspirational.
