YOGA ASANAS FOR CLEAR AND YOUTHFUL SKIN

Yoga Asanas for Clear Skin

Yoga practices provide a natural glow to your skin by flushing out the toxins from your body, regulating the excretory system, reducing stress, inducing sleep and much more. Yoga asanas increase blood circulation in your body, nourishing the cells, keeping them healthy and carrying away the waste products and free radicals. 

The combination of yoga asanas and breathing exercises keeps the skin tight and smooth. Experts have proved that yoga helps treat dermatological problems like acne and brittle skin by purifying your system from the inside.

A daily yoga routine along with a strict diet and a basic skin care regime can go a long way towards improving your overall health. Some of the asanas and pranayama that can help you get clear skin are as follows. 

Shirshasana or Headstand

This asana gives your face a healthy glow by reversing the blood circulation so that it is from toe to head. Doing this regularly helps keep your skin wrinkle-free.

Uttanasana or Forward Bending Pose

This is another inverted pose that allows your blood to flow towards your face and scalp.

Halasana or Plough Pose

This pose also increases the blood circulation to the face and head, giving your face a rosy glow. 

Sarvangasana or Shoulder Stand

Commonly known as the queen of yoga asanas, this asana also helps in reversing the blood circulation from toe to head, thus helping your skin remain clear and wrinkle free.

Matsyasana or Fish Pose

This is an alternate yoga pose for Sarvangasana. While your entire body isn’t inverted unlike in the other asanas, your head is, so the blood flows there and flushes your skin.

Pranayama or Breathing Exercises

Nadi Shodhana Pranayama andKapalbhati pranayama are effective detoxifying techniques. Sheetali and Sheetkari pranayama are cooling exercises that are very useful in the summer. They help your skin retain its glow and they prevent pimples and acne.

Meditation

Meditation releases the negative thoughts and stress from your mind. When your mind is calm and stress-free, it will be reflected on your face. 

Apart from yoga practices there are few quick tips that will help you in get clear skin:

1. Hydrate your body by drinking plenty of water.

2. Quit smoking and alcohol intake.

3. Drink fruit juices instead of aerated drinks. 

4. Scrap unhealthy, fried and fatty foods from your diet.

Having youthful and clear skin is not just about taking care of your external skin; it’s a manifestation of a healthy body.
