It is important to keep your body fit and always ready to go. Especially during the current pandemic, keeping fit and healthy has become necessary. However, when do you really know that you are fit enough? Is your daily workout actually helping you be fit enough?
Here is a simple way to test your fitness. You can also get your family members to take this test to make sure they are doing their best to keep themselves fit as well.
The test is divided into four legs that test all facets of your fitness from your cardiovascular ability to your core strength.
02-One mile run test
Walk, jog or run for one mile and time yourself. The goal is to be able to do this as fast as possible. This will test your cardiovascular ability.
03-Sit and reach test
Sit on the ground with your legs stretched straight in front of you and your feet hip-width apart. Stretch your fingers as far past as your toes as possible and measure how far you can go. Start the measurement from the heel of your flexed foot. This will test your flexibility.
Do as many traditional push-ups as possible without stopping. Make sure you maintain the correct form. It is advisable to decide a pace that you are comfortable with. This will test your strength.
Do as many crunches and as quickly as possible in 60 seconds. Again, it is very important to maintain proper form. This will test your core strength.
